As of now Jarrod Dyson is penciled in as the Royals’ third outfielder, though he should mix in with Paulo Orlando as of now. In the past he has been the speed demon who could come in and pinch run for a guy like Kendrys Morales.
Dyson’s speed totals are impressive when you consider how inconsistent his usage is, but don’t think he’ll be getting a full time job for 2016. In under 200 PAs each of the past three years, he has still posted 34, 36, and 26 steals. He is a cheap source of speed to be utilized in daily leagues where you can pop him in if he’s getting the start. His wheels and situational usage will usually lead to runs as well.
Outside of that, he is a guy who will hit around .260 and post an OBP somewhere close to .320. He’ll be 31 this year, but he still one of the fastest in the league in an offense that lets their speedsters run. NFBC data has him as the 77th OF being drafted right now, so if you need speed to round out your lineup you can definitely get him for cheap.
