ANALYSIS: New Orleans Pelicans rookie power forward/center Jaxson Hayes has earned more opportunities lately and has been impressive. Over a four-game stretch from November 16 to November 1, Hayes played nearly 25 minutes per game and averaged about 10 points, over two blocks and over a steal per game while shooting 62.5% from the field.

Derrick Favors (back) and Jahlil Okafor (ankle) have both missed time lately, which has allowed for Hayes to get extended minutes. Both could be back soon, with Favors being the bigger problem for Hayes as Favors was averaging nearly nine rebounds per game while playing over 20 minutes per game.

Hayes is worth adding in most leagues of 12 teams or more for short term help at least. His strong play may have earned him more consistent minutes going forward as well, but at least for now, he'll give you a boost in field goal percentage and blocks and could also help in rebounds and steals as well.
