ANALYSIS: Fantasy owners have been tripping over themselves whilst rushing to the waiver wire to snag Miguel Andujar, but there's another American League rookie third baseman worthy of consideration. Jeimer Candelario has recorded at least one hit in eight of his last nine games, with four home runs, nine runs, and nine RBI during that time. Acquired from the Cubs last season as part of the Justin Wilson, the 24-year-old is locked into the second spot in the Tigers' lineup in front of the resurgent Miguel Cabrera and Nicholas Castellanos.
Through the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader, Candelario is hitting .299/.371/.552 with counting stats that are virtually identical to Andujar's. The difference? You can still snag Candelario in over 80 percent of leagues at the moment.
