ANALYSIS: Joe Flacco did well yesterday in a shootout with the…Oakland Raiders. While the Raiders secondary should be gashed, he still had to actually perform. Flacco went against a good Broncos defense in Week 1, and this scared some people off of him. They can't be blamed, it was an atrocious showing. Yes, Flacco isn’t great, but he can pull it together for you if you play the matchups. That's what we're doin here. This is more about his upcoming schedule than Flacco's intrinsic value. Flacco gets a tough matchup in Week 3 vs. Cincinnati (at least it’s at home), but after that he gets Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and San Francisco. I’ll sign up for those weeks. It also cannot be understated that his connection with Steve Smith Sr. coming alive in 2015 after he was locked down in Week 1 is very important. Along with the emergence of Crockett Gillmore, and the return of Lorenzo Taliaferro allowing for some real downhill running, Flacco finds himself with a more balanced offensive attack. When Breshad Perriman works in, Joe will be a happy camper. I won't begrudge you for skipping his Week 3 start, but you don't want to miss out on those matchups that await him.
