BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Time passes, seasons change, and nothing signals the change from fantasy baseball season to fantasy football season more than Josh Rojas being available in over half of fantasy baseball leagues. Rojas is one of the hottest hitters on the planet right now, but can't seem to get any traction in fantasy despite posting a .462 batting average and a 1.260 OPS since the All-Star break. Maybe fantasy enthusiasts are wrapped up in football draft prep, maybe no one is paying attention to the hapless Diamondbacks, but those hoping to lock up a baseball championship would be wise to grab Rojas if he's still out there.
Rojas has been the primary leadoff hitter for the snakes and scored 10 runs in his last 15 games thanks to an elite 13:10 K:BB. Looking back further, Rojas is batting .296 with an impressive.373 wOBA and 131 wRC+ since June 1, which is when he first started leading off for Arizona. His success is supported by the lowest chase rate and the lowest whiff rate of his career, so he should continue to get on base plenty moving forward. Fantasy managers in need of batting average or runs should be particularly excited by Rojas, but he should be rostered in all formats as he offers tri-eligibility and is probably better than the worst hitter on your roster.
