Kyle Freeland Looks To Continue His Growth In 2016

Freeland has some fantastic raw talent, but he has suffered some durability setbacks along the way thus far and might be headed for bullpen duties as a result. What we know about Freeland is that he has a plus fastball, slider, and changeup, but that he has some issues putting it all together with command and mechanics. Freeland doesn’t have exceptional put-away stuff, but he is good at inducing weak contact and limiting damage. What he needs most is a great pitching coach to help him clean up his delivery and refine his skills. It could be two years before we see him, and it’ll probably be out of the bullpen first, but he’s a name to keep an eye on.
