LEC DFS Matchups

  • Misfits (-210) vs. XL
  • SK vs. Mad Lions (-550)
  • Schalke vs. Rogue (-275)
  • Fnatic (-310) vs. Astralis
  • Vitality vs. G2 (-210)

Captain/MVP

Rekkles - G2: Rekkles leads the LEC in kills through the first two weeks while also being tied for the lowest amount of deaths. He is averaging  11.6 K+A and those are exactly the kind of numbers you want out of your captain. This game features the highest O/U in terms of kills, look for Rekkles and his 32.6% Kill Share to be heavily involved.

Bwipo - FNC: This is the second LEC slate in a row in which Bwipo has been featured here. The top lane turned jungler has been quite impressive for Fnatic so far. He is super aggressive and it has been working out incredibly well for him. In the two games last week he racked up 30! assists along with 6 kills. Bwipo has a 75% Kill Participation and continues to be cheaper than he should be.

TOP

HiRit - MSF: Picking on Kryze will be a very common theme in these writeups. That sentence is copied from last week which saw Adam put up 34.04 points on Kryze and XL even while falling behind in the early game. HiRit has been on a mission through the early games of this split. He has a 71.6% Kill Participation and leads all LEC top laners with a 29.6% Kill Share. His opponent in Kryze averages one kill per game so he clearly isn't a threat to HiRit.

Adam - FNC: Adam has struggled to make an impact in the early laning phase so far, but he has been an absolute monster in the later game team fights. While we would like to see him have an impact in all aspects of the game, we can't argue with fantasy points and that is what he has been giving us. Astralis is tied for second for most team deaths through the first two weeks and is a team that is willing to team fight. That is exactly what Fnatic is looking to do. This game should be a blood bath and Adam will be heavily involved.

JUNGLE

Bwipo - FNC: If you haven't chosen Bwipo in the captain slot, he is worth considering here

Jankos - G2: Jankos is coming off a 10/4/15 game against Rogue. He has looked really good so far this split and while his counterpart SelfMade has been playing well, G2 is a clear tier ahead of Vitality which should push the needle in Jankos' favor. He is second on G2 in both Kill  Participation and Kill Share and G2 has been putting up some big kill totals.

Elyoya - MAD: Elyoya is the only Mad Lions player featured in this article. While the Mad Lions as a team have not been playing at the level that saw them win the spring split, Elyoya has continued to show he is one of the best junglers in the LEC. He is third in the league in kills only below the two names mentioned above and has a 26.2% Kill Share. He is worth taking a look at as a one-off play and if stacking MAD he definitely needs to be in your lineup.

MID

Caps - G2: Caps has cooled off a bit from his great start, but he is still one of the best players in the league on one of the best teams in the league. He has been given a counter pick in 60% of G2's games and continues to dominate the lane phase of the game. He is able to use this advantage to go help out the side lanes which helps to get them ahead as well. If you have played Rekkles as your captain, Caps in the mid-slot is the best choice.

Vetheo - MSF: Vetheo lost his spot at the top of the kill leaderboard over week two and he will be looking to recapture the lead over this weekend. Vetheo has been fantastic so far and is the heart and soul of this Misfits team, and has an impressive 34.6% Kill Share. He goes up against Nukeduck which should be a relatively easy matchup for Vetheo.

ADC

Rekkles - G2: If you haven't played Rekkles at the captain position, lock him in here

Kobbe - MSF: Kobbe has been incredibly consistent so far putting up over 20 points in each game so far. While his kill totals arent what you would like to see from an ADC that is mainly because Vetheo and HiRit have been going crazy. While I wouldn't play him as a one-off, in a Misfits stack Kobbe is a great choice.

Upset - FNC: Upset is second to Rekkles in kills with 29 through five games. His early game numbers are fantastic and we all know Fnatic are going to fight as often as they can. The Astralis bot lane combines for 51.4% of their team's deaths. Both Upset and Hylissang have 80% counter pick rates. Expect the bot lane matchup to very one-sided during this game.

Hans Sama - RGE: I won't be writing up four players at a position all that often, but Hans Sama deserved a mention. While Rogue games often finish in low kill totals, Hans has a 36% Kill Share and 74.7% Kill Participation. He will carry lower ownership than the names above.

SUPPORT

Mikyx- G2: Mikyx has been great for G2 through the early games of this split. He brings a 70.5% Kill Participation and has shown a great ability to roam the map and make plays in other lanes. Mikyx has been given the counter pick in 80% of G2's games so far compared to just 20% for Vitality's support Labrov. He is averaging 13.4 K+A per game and this matchup has the highest kill O/U on the board.

Hylissang - FNC: Hylissang has been great so far this split. If you haven't seen is Braum game against XL last week I encourage you to go watch it. He made great play after great play on a champion that is more defensive than offensive. As mentioned above with Upset, Astralis bot lane combines for over half of their team's deaths and Hylissang loves to be aggressive and start-up fights for his team.

TEAM

Rogue: While the Rogue players aren't always great plays as they tend to play slower and don't fight all that often, as a team they are typically a safe play. Going up against Schalke, this game shouldn't be too much of a challenge for Rogue and if they can start to stack dragons along with a Baron they will find themselves with a nice team score.

Misfits: While XL has managed to pull off two wins in the early part of the summer split, they are still a very poor team. Misfits have been playing well and should be able to beat up on XL with relative ease. Misfits have the second-highest dragon rate in the league. XL is in the bottom half in both dragon and baron control.

Final Thoughts

I really like the look of this slate, there are many ways you can construct your lineups. This is one of the rare slates that every game is worth taking a look at. I will be mainly using G2, Fnatic, and Misfits but there are certainly some other players worth looking at on some other teams as well.
