ANALYSIS: Mack makes for an interesting stash off the waiver wire, if you have the room to afford it during these injured-riddled, bye-heavy weeks. He's still working well behind both Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines in the Colts' offense, topping out at a 31% snap share in Week 4 and progressively tumbling to an ugly 6% snap share in Week 7. He's getting only a handful of touches each game, with his best performance coming in Week 5 when he rushed five times for 47 yards (9.4 yards per carry). That was likely his "showcase" game, serving to entice interested teams in a potential trade.
The fifth-year back has proven to be a capable, if not flashy, fantasy producer when given the opportunity. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry in the two seasons where he had at least 195 rushing attempts, totaling 18 touchdowns in that span. If he goes to a team that will give him an opportunity to handle a significant amount of touches, he could be a huge help off the waiver wire at a position that has been devastated by injury. The latest report has the Chiefs, Panthers, 49ers, and Saints among the teams who have looked into the veteran back.
