Martavis Bryant Explodes in 2015 Debut

Martavis Bryant was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season, and then missed an additional game last week due to a knee injury. Bryant finally saw the field on Sunday, and while he was mostly quiet (along with the rest of the Steelers' offense) with Mike Vick under center, things changed in a hurry for Bryant once Vick was removed from the game for Landry Jones.

While Antonio Brown was being shadowed by Patrick Peterson, Bryant was the best receiving option for the Steelers, and it showed quickly. Jones lofted a ball into the back of the end zone and Bryant took advantage of his size and skills to go up and get it, coming down with his body in the field of play. The Steelers, and their fans, had to loved the sight of that. It was an impressive play, though he had only just begun to ball.

The Steelers had the ball at their own 12 yard line and Jones hit Bryant on a fairly innocent looking slant route over the middle. A few nifty moves later, coupled with a burst of speed and some blocks, and Bryant had cruised 88 yards for a touchdown.

Once Ben Roethlisberger returns, the Steelers will finally have their offense together and can really show what they're capable of. Bryant's debut did not disappoint, and you can look for him to be a playmaker for Pittsburgh the rest of the way.
