ANALYSIS: Texas Rangers pitcher Mike Minor has pushed through a stiff back to manage 29 ⅔ innings since the All-Star break, in which he has allowed opposing hitters to triple slash a paltry .181/.211/.327 with 25 strikeouts against four walks.These numbers are  coming against the lineups of Oakland (x2), Houston, the Yankees and the Orioles.

While those numbers above are truly impressive, Minor's struggles earlier this season give reason for pessimism. We will see if he can collect his fifth win in a row against the Dodgers on Wednesday, but, if he does, Minor will become a hot item on the waiver wire. Wait to see how his start at home goes, but scoop him up if he is able to silence the Dodgers in the Texas heat.
