What's up, RotoBallers! Thunder Dan here with your MLB betting picks this Sunday, June 13th. If you follow me for DFS coverage, don't worry - I bet on baseball just about every day, too! I will be doing these picks for you every Sunday going forward this Summer. Just to let you know, I mainly bet on FanDuel and DraftKings sportsbooks. I know not everyone is able to bet on those sites, so if you are betting elsewhere just make sure to shop around and find the best odds.
We have been really increasing our sports betting content at RotoBaller, and this year will be no different. Tommy Bell (@BellRoto) will be handling things over in our premium offering, to go along with our awesome premium betting tools. Steve Janik (@stevejanik6) and Jamie Steed (@Baseball_Jimbo) will be carrying the free picks on during the week throughout the season with some help from yours truly. And Kipp Heisterman (@kipppsta) brings you the Monkey Knife Fight and PrizePicks DFS prop picks.
I'm not sure if only having to be accountable for picks one day a week is helping my record or what but I have started out the first two weeks at 7-2 and excited to keep things rolling, hopefully, all summer long!

Thunder Dan's 2021 MLB Betting Picks
Last Week: 4-1
Season to Date: 7-2
Colorado Rockies @ Cincinnati Reds
O/U: 9.5 | Moneyline: CIN -162
COL: Antonio Senzatela | CIN: Tony Santillian
The first two games in this series went for 13 and 16 total runs, respectively. Today the Reds send a rookie to the mound in Santillan while the Rockies are going with of their worst starters in Senzatela. The Reds' bats are red hot right now and Senzy is a guy who doesn't miss many bats. I don't know much about the Reds' starter, but I do know that this ballpark in Cincinnati is an elite environment for hitting so he better not make too many mistakes.
This pick feels too easy, but there's still value left on it at only -118. I like the over on 9.5 total runs here as both teams are sending out shaky starters and have had major bullpen issues this season.
Pick: Over 9.5 total runs (-118) DraftKings Sportsbook

Cleveland Indians vs. Seattle Mariners
O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: CLE -240
CLE: Shane Bieber| SEA: Logan Gilbert
There's not a lot of money lines or run lines that I love on this slate today, but getting behind Shane Bieber and a Cleveland offense that is trending up of late is something I can do.
The pitching matchup here is very lopsided as the Tribe gets to roll out the defending Cy Young against a rookie, who while being a highly-touted prospect, has not been able to pitch all that effectively at the MLB level. Gilbert faced this Indians team in his debut, allowing four earned runs on five hits over four innings and since then has pitched better, but Cleveland has scored seven and five runs in the first two games of this series and has been hitting the ball better of late as an offense.
Yes, Bieber has been as dominant as what we saw last year, but he's still been pretty darn good. And he's capable of pitching deep into the game against a Seattle offense that struggles to make contact. If the Indians get a lead to the ninth inning, they have one of the nastiest closers in the game with Emmanuel Clase throwing 101 MPH gas. Without much value on the ML here, I am going to go with the Indians run line instead. I think they'll be able to claw out enough offense to get Bieber and the bullpen a two-run lead) or more and win this one pretty comfortably.
Pick: Cleveland -1.5 (-108) DraftKings Sportsbook
