For the first time in what was probably years for most NBA fans, they finally watched a full-game from start to finish. There’s no saying how much of the actual game they saw, but with the only two games being televised, it’s fair to say that more people watched this game then say, a Detroit Pistons regular season game. There we’re no real surprises, with the two players that usually step up in times of need doing what was expected of them. Granted, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant feeding Seth Curry was a huge propellent throughout the game, and Curry was easily the star player of the night, so it’s fair to say playing against the team that traded you usually leads to some inspired basketball. Anyone still watching TNT at this point was gifted with a close game between the Nuggets and Warriors, but the Denver’s weaknesses we’re outlined once again by failing to deliver in the second half. Nikola Jokic carries his weight every minute he’s out there, but he’s not the player who wants to shoot out of a triple-team in the waning minutes of a game. The Nuggets need Jamal Murray back, or literally anyone that is capable of scoring in the last 24 minutes of a professional basketball game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 1.

Trae Young OVER 9.5 Assists – Trae Young is the focal point of this team and that means his assists ceiling will always be incredibly high. The Hawks understand the importance of Young’s scoring, but he can’t do it alone and is forced to find who is supporting cast will be that night through creation of space. Based on how well he has been distributing the ball recently, it’s almost surprising to see that his assist projection hasn’t risen in the past week or two. Young should be able to score this game as well, but rarely does he score without finding ways to continue to involve teammates.
Donovan Mitchell OVER 5.5 Assists – Not to belittle my writing, but you could almost replicate the paragraph above and use it Donovan Mitchell as well. Mitchell has been doing more playmaking that scoring lately, but that’s not entirely by choice. His attempts are still rivaling the most on the team, but after Bojan Bogdanovic went down with an injury and likely to miss an extended period of time, Mitchell and Mike Conley are tasked with conducting the offense and filling in the missing shooter’s role than Bogdanovic happily commanded. With the extra offense tonight, taking the under here is more brash and brains.
Dejounte Murray OVER 3.0 Free Throws Made – Dejounte Murray is putting together a career season and fans continue to throw around other names for recognition, despite not doing half of what Murray does each night. Lately, now that it’s set in stone that Murray is the best player on this team and deserves to have the ball in his hands, he’s slowly learning the benefit of drawing fouls. Since his defense, somehow, still overshadows his incredible offensive output, Murray generates stats by simply being on the court and his athleticism make it so opposing teams are forced to foul rather than walk to the rim. With Rudy Gobert in the paint, the task of scoring around the rim will be more difficult, that didn’t stop him from posting a 16-point triple-double against Utah and Rudy Gobert earlier this season. Murray also took six free-throw attempts that game.
Other Recommendations – Doug McDermott UNDER 11.5 Points, Cole Anthony OVER 15.5 Points, Wendell Carter Jr. OVER 33.5 Fantasy Points, Alec Burks or R.J. Barrett OVER 3.5 Assists
