It’s easy to get lost in all the chaos this time of year. Especially on nights with only one NBA game, those March Madness games have much more appeal…until you start actually watching them play. There’s a reason why the player who scored the most points in a basketball game yesterday was still an NBA player playing against other NBA players, not a college player playing against other college players. The levels of talent are incomparable and Saddiq Bay might have done more than just create a name for himself. The Pistons have put a lot of stock in Jerami Grant and Cade Cunningham’s offense, forcing Bay to sit on the perimeter to wait. Most of the time wide-open with no defender in sight before sprinting back down the court to defend, just do it all over again. He’s a wing shooter and has had great nights before, but none like this. When anyone sees 51 points next to their name, regardless of opponent, it instills a type of confidence that is hard to break as an opponent. The Pistons aren’t on tonight’s 12-game slate, but plenty of talent is, so enough rambling.

The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 1.

Luka Doncic OVER 46.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts – There are plenty of directions to take this bet. Since Philadelphia is sacrificing defense for offense with James Harden, this is the type of matchup where Luka Doncic excels. There aren’t many, if any, defenders suited to lock down Doncic as it is, so on night’s where he’s guaranteed to get open looks simply because the 76ers are going to lose track of him at times, assists, points, and fantasy point bets are all looking extremely favorable this early in the morning.
Dorian Finney-Smith OVER 10.5 Points – Trading Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t turned Dorian Finney-Smith into a consistent scorer, but in his past eight games, he’s only scored below 11 points two times, while scoring over 15 points in five of those contests. He’s doing more scoring than not, and although that’s not exactly normal for him, he’s taking more shots consistently and hitting them at a higher rate. There’s still risk because of his focus on defense, but as long as Doncic is able to serve him up easy passes, he should keep capitalizing.
Kevin Porter OVER 5.5 Assists – Kevin Porter and Jalen Green have been two of the most exciting young guards to watch this season, but the Rockets aren’t winning many games and we aren’t seeing either at their full potential. Indiana is lacking frontcourt defense and size, but their guards are still capable returning the favor and that can be tough for young guards to handle. The Pacers backcourt has both Malcolm Brogdon and Tyrese Haliburton to try and slow down Houston’s guard tandem, but it’s going to take a collective team effort that the Pacers don’t exactly possess to keep Porter and Green from finding ways to do what they do best. Produce and get stats…on offense.
Other Recommendations – Robert Williams OVER 9.5 Points, Aaron Gordon OVER 20.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts, Zach LaVine OVER 32.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts, Julius Randle OVER 0.5 Double-Doubles
