Although PrizePicks has a couple options from Saturday’s games as well, this article focuses solely on Friday’s slate. With both higher seeded teams up 2-0 and playing away, there is always a chance that playing at home can inspire some of the younger, less experienced players and shift the momentum of the series. As always, you have to win one away game as the lower seed to come away with a series win, but since we bet from game to game, the lasting narrative means diddlysquat. Luka Doncic has had zero help in the playoffs and the defensive pressure the Mavericks put on most teams throughout the regular season, isn’t there. The Suns, being one of the more consistent teams in the league, should have no qualms about playing on the road and nothing about this series has made it seem like Dallas will even win a game unless Doncic scores 80 points himself. For the Heat and 76ers, the series is ultimately over. James Harden folds in the playoffs anyway, so without Joel Embiid, it’s somewhat hilarious and fitting that Tyrese Maxey is viewed as Philadelphia’s best player. For someone to be as proficient as Harden has been in the regular season, just to time and time again flop in the playoffs, it makes life easy as a bettor.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 1.

Tyrese Maxey OVER 20.5 Points – Tyrese Maxey’s point projection hasn’t changed and there’s no reason to stop rolling with what’s been working. For the first time in his NBA career, Maxey took 11 free throw attempts and put up 34 points on 22 shots. It’s clear he is the guy right now, and even with Joel Embiid potentially seeing a Game 4 return, the 76ers have no choice but to feed the hot-hand until then and hope it works. There’s no real legitimate chance of winning here and Philadelphia is outmatched across the board. Assuming the Heat come away with another 15+ point victory, Maxey’s upside should be unaffected since his minutes aren’t in jeopardy.
Tobias Harris OVER 1.5 3-PT Made – With the 76ers struggling and Tyrese Maxey doing everything he can to keep them afloat this series, second-in-command is Tobias Harris. His ability to create his own shot against any defender gives him incredible upside when the defensive pressure is elevated. Making contested shots consistently is what Harris has built a career on and the intensified defense forces him to take the offense into his own hands. The points bet here is just as good, but with the 76ers absolutely needing a win, there will be plenty of shots to go around. Philadelphia needs to be efficient to beat the Heat and Harris needs to find his rhythm from behind the arc, first and foremost.
Max Strus OVER 1.5 Assists – Max Strus is a great player in terms of spacing, not because of his ability to hit open shots, but because of how often he is in those spots in the first place. He turns good shots to great shots and Miami isn’t desperate for offense with the rotation they have. As a key role player, he doesn’t demand any usage, but because of his team-first approach that puts spacing and defense first, he doesn’t need minutes to put up the type of production we need. In this case, just two measly assists. Of course, this relies on his teammates hitting shots, but Strus will never stray from his style of play. He will make the extra pass, hustle on defense and leave his mark on this game regardless of how many total stats he generates.
