NFL DFS Prop Picks for Monkey Knife Fight - Giants vs. Washington Thursday Night Football

Welcome to the Week 2 of Thursday Night Football between the New York Giants and the Washington Football Team! Thursday Night Football means our friends at Monkey Knife Fight are offering some fantastic props for us to play.

Our friends at Monkey Knife Fight offer some of the coolest, and easiest to win, NFL DFS games in the industry. There are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash because, at MKF, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the house, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a $100 deposit bonus.

As always, there are some solid props we can look to take advantage of in tonight's game, so let's get to the picks!

Giants @ Football Team More or Less Contest

Recommended Prop Pick:

Logan Thomas more than 4.5 receptions, Saquon Barkley less than 52.5 rushing yards, and Antonio Gibson more than 68.5 rushing yards

While Logan Thomas only saw three targets (of which he caught all three) in last week's contest against the Chargers, this is a much better matchup for him and Taylor Heinicke should look his way frequently. The Giants gave up major production to the tight-end position last week as they allowed 10 receptions on 13 targets for 85 yards to the position. In 2020, they also allowed the ninth-most receptions to the position.

Barkley did not look right last week against the tough Denver run defense and things do not get much easier on a short week in this one. WFT allowed an average of just 79 rushing yards per game to backs in 2020, which was ranked inside the top 12 in the league. They are also fresh off a game where they allowed just 91 rushing yards on 25 carries to backs while also getting lit up through the air for 337 yards by Justin Herbert. Given that the Giants are underdogs in this game and could struggle to move the ball on the ground, I would expect them to be a bit pass heavier in this one and Saquon likely continues to be eased back in, especially on this short week.

As long as Gibson plays and is in the lineup, I feel pretty solid with this number on him after he carried the rock 20 times for 90 yards and hauled in three of five targets for 18 yards Sunday against the Chargers. The Giants just allowed Melvin Gordon III and Javonte Williams to combine for 146 yards on the ground across 26 carries. This is a home game for WFT and they are projected to win by three, which should mean some additional carries down the stretch for Gibson as well.

Giants @ Football Team Reception Collection

Recommended Prop Pick:

Sterling Shepard, Kenny Golladay, and Logan Thomas to combine for more than 17.5 receptions

I am going to play the narrative that the Giants get down early here and are forced to throw a bit more in this game.

Sterling Shepard was a favorite target of quarterback Daniel Jones on Sunday against the Broncos as he hauled in seven of nine targets for 113 yards and a score. Shepard has also been a favorite of Jones for some time as he also averaged nearly eight targets per game in 2020. While Kenny Golladay will eventually cut into the target share for Shepard, I expect Jones to continue to look Shepard's way frequently in the early going. Shepard also has 12 receptions on 16 targets for 115 receiving yards and a score in his previous two contests against WFT as well as a carry for 18 yards. He should be a key piece of the offense in this one.

Golladay should also garner plenty of attention from Daniel Jones in this one, especially as he grows more and more comfortable with him. In Week 1, Golladay saw six targets and hauled in four of them for 64 yards. We could expect that number to increase in this one, especially considering that Evan Engram is a strong candidate to miss this game on a short week.

Logan Thomas might be my favorite play in this game despite the fact he saw just three targets a week ago. This Giants Defense as mentioned above has been abysmal against the tight end position for some time now and this is the perfect spot for them to exploit it with Taylor Heinicke at the helm. Thomas and Heinicke played together in two games in 2020 and Thomas was targeted a combined 21 times and hauled in 12 receptions in those two games. He must be a part of any reception collection contest in this game.
