NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/07
Good Evening and welcome back! After last night’s mishmash slate, we welcome ourselves to yet another one. There are a few teams playing on the back-half of a back-to-back: Vegas, Detroit, New York Islanders and Minnesota. There are no true favorites on the slate outside of the Blues, however, there are multiple games that are expected to go over 5.5 goals.
Players Out
Filip Forsberg - W - Nashville Predators
Dylan Larkin - C - Detroit Red Wings
Torey Krug - D - St Louis Blues
Brayden Schenn - C - St Louis Blue
Players Expected Back
NHL DFS Goalies
Thatcher Demko- DK $8.5K || FD $7.8K
Opponent - Dallas Stars
Demko continues to have an up and down season, but yet his stats remain dominant. The netminder is repping a 2.30 goals against and a 0.920 save percentage this season. Considering how non-dominant the Canucks are after a month, this may come as a surprise for most. Against the third-worst offense in the league, he will look to rebound after the tough 3-2 loss to the Predators on Friday.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Binnington(DK $8.2K || FD $8.6K), Varlamov(DK $7.5K || FD $7.8K)
NHL DFS Centers
Pius Suter-DK $7K || FD $3.7K
Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights
Due to the Wings playing the back-half of a back-to-back and Dylan Larkink still out, we once again get to take advantage of the mispricing. Suter continues to be everything and more for the Wings, something that he never could produce with the Blackhawks. He now gets the chance to play between two shining wingers who play well together. Against a pesky Sabres team, he ran a line of 1-1-2 and seven shots in 19 minutes of play. Against a leaky Vegas team, he could be in store for even more.
Brock Nelson- DK $6.2K || FD $5.6K
Opponent - Minnesota Wild
Nelson is on fire as of late and he is carrying the bulk of the offense for the dry-spelled Islanders. Over the past two games, Nelson and teammate Anthony Beauvillier have a 5-3-8 line with 18 shots. After the short-handed Penguins almost beat the Wild last night, the Islanders will get a crack at the out of form club.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): O’Reilly(DK $5.9K || FD $6.8K), Stephenson(DK $5.8K || FD $5.1K), Granlund(DK $5.6K || FD $4.7K), Thomas(DK $4K || FD $3.6K), Dach(DK $3.9K || FD $5K)
NHL DFS Wings
Wings
Tyler Bertuzzi- DK $5.9K || FD $4.8K
Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights
It was hard to change direction with the lack of value on this slate, so we once again highlight another Red Wing. Bertuzzi welcomed himself back last night against the Sabres with a 2-2-4 line and three shots. Right before his injury, Tyler Bertuzzi, Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond were starting to gain chemistry. Now with Larkin out, it is time for Bertuzzi to hold the line together.
Luke Kunin- DK $3.2K || FD $3.8K
Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks currently own the second-highest goals against in the league right now and Kunin slightly above minimum price playing on the top-line is a great spot for value galore. WIth Filip Forsberg out for the time being, Kunin has taken over his duties and with a 1-2-3 line over his last three matches along with seven shots on goal, you can’t find better value.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kane(DK $ 7.3K || FD $8.6K), Tarasenko(DK $ 6.8K || FD $8.2K), Beauvillier(DK $ 6.3K || FD $4.9K), Duchene(DK $5.4K || FD $5.6K), Tolvanen(DK $3.7K || FD $4.1K), Dadanov(DK $3.3K || FD $4K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Defense
Alex Pietrangelo- DK $7.1K || FD $6.2K
Opponent - Detroit Red Wings
Pietrangelo has been a force for the Knights this season and one of the only consistencies for the club. The veteran defender only has a 2-2-4 line through 10 games, but he has been averaging over 15 points per game over the last four matches. With two goals and one assist over his last two matches, it will not be surprising for him to continue that form.
Justin Faulk- DK $5.3K || FD $4.4K
Opponent - Anaheim Ducks
Teammate Torey Krug looks to miss this contest due to COVID-19. This now leaves the top power-play for the Blues up for grabs and Faulk should be the first to run it. The former power-play quarterback for the Hurricanes, Faulk has not done much offensively so far this season, however, this is the perfect chance for the veteran to kick-start the season.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Josi(DK $7.9K || FD $7K), Jones(DK $6.4K || FD $6.5K), Ekman-Larsson(DK $5K || FD $4.3K), Seider(DK $4.8K || FD $4.2K), Suter(DK $3K || FD $4.3K)
