NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/16
Good Evening and welcome back! Yesterday we had a small 2-game slate with little to no fireworks. However, tonight we have a massive 11-game slate with a few big favorites, notably the St. Louis Blues. The New York Rangers come in as heavy favorites as well and there are no teams coming in on the second half of a back-to-back.
Players Out
Sammy Blais - W - New York Rangers
Players Expected Back
Nino Niederreiter - W - Carolina Hurricanes
NHL DFS Goalies
Jordan Binnington- DK $8.5K || FD $7.9K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
There is no better matchup than this one here. The Coyotes are averaging one goal less per 60 minutes (1.52) than the next worst offense in the Canadiens. A WHOLE GOAL LESS!!! Going against a stout offense and defense, albeit some injuries, it looks like the Coyotes will once again struggle to score. This is surely a bet for a shutout. Right now it is +480 odds with our friends over at FanDuel Sportsbook for “Both Teams Not To Score”.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Shesterkin(DK $8K || FD $8.4K), Bobrovsky(DK $7.9K || FD $8.6K), Markstrom(DK $7.8K || FD $7.8K), Gibson(DK $7.5K || FD $7.1K)
NHL DFS Centers
Robert Thomas-DK $3.8K || FD $4.3K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
Did someone say lock of the night?! If teammate Brayden Schenn -- DK $4.7K || FD $ K -- does not play again Thomas is the definition of a lock, if Schenn does play, he is also nearly a lock at that cheap price. Anyhow, Thomas is on absolute fire since his newly formed line started clicking. Over his last three appearances, he has 7.0 assists and 3.0 shots. The floor is not the greatest, but his ceiling is to the moon!
Sebastian Aho- DK $7.1K || FD $8.4K
Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights
In what will be a fast-paced tempo against the Knights, Aho will look to continue his dominance. Over his last five appearances, the center has 1.0 goal, 3.0 assists and 23.0 shots. He also has only produced below double-digits in DK points once. With that type of floor against a leaky defense, anything can happen!
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): McDavid(DK $9.2K || FD $9.7K), Matthews(DK $9.1K || FD $9.5K), Crosby(DK $6.6K || FD $7.7K), Hintz(DK $5.9K|| FD $5.7K), O’Reilly(DK $5.5K|| FD $5.7K), Hayes(DK $3.9K|| FD $4.1K)
NHL DFS Wings
Wings
Seth Jarvis- DK $2.7K || FD $3.2K
Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights
The 2020 First Round product has proven at every level now that he can produce. Jarvis is now getting a crack at the top-line with Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov. At bare minimum pricing in a fast-paced game, this is a perfect opportunity for him to take his next step.
Artemi Panarin- DK $6.9K || FD $7.9K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
Panarin has been streaky so far this season, but he does have 2.0 goals and 2.0 assists over his last three appearances, along with 12.0 shots. Montreal has been playing better as of recent, but it is still nothing to write home about and Panarin will have plenty of chances to pick up a few more points.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Meier(DK $6.3K || FD $6.9K), Tarasenko(DK $6.2K || FD $7.8K), Zuccarello(DK $ 5.8K || FD $4.7K), Rust(DK $5.5K || FD $6.2K), Stone(DK $5.2K || FD $7.5K), Kyrou(DK $4.8K || FD $6.1K), Svechnikov(DK $2.6K || FD $3.5K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Defense
Adam Fox- DK $7.2K || FD $7K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
Fox did not disappoint us on Sunday and he will not disappoint us here either. The young defenseman has been stellar for the Rangers and he has 2.0 goals, 3.0 assists, 10.0 shots and 13.0 blocked shots over his last five appearances. His floor is crazy high and his ceiling against a lackluster team is even better.
Dylan Coghlan- DK $2.5K || FD $3.6K
Opponent - Carolina Hurricanes
Coghlan will continue to get the chance to produce with teammate Alex Martinez out for this matchup. At bare minimum pricing, Coghlan provides plenty of salary savings and also potential playing on the top power-play unit.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Josi(DK $8.1K || FD $7K), Letang(DK $7K || FD $6.2K), Provorov(DK $5.2K || FD $4.5K), Trouba(DK $4.9K || FD $4.4K), Hronek(DK $4.2K || FD $4.2K), Ristolainen(DK $3K || FD $3.9K)
