NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/29
Good Evening and welcome back! As I write this, the Canucks are shocking the hockey community by leading the Bruins 2-1 late in the second period. After myself and many others expected the Bruins to sweep the Canucks, we may be getting a different story. Nevertheless, we walk into yet another wishy-washy type of slate and the Winnipeg Jets are the only decent favorites against the Arizona Coyotes. Vancouver is also the only team playing on the second-half of a back-to-back. Vancouver travels to Montreal with the league's sixth-worst goals against (3.24) and Calgary sports the league's eighth-highest goals for (3.3) when they welcome in the Penguins who just lost for the first time on their current road trip.
Players Out
Players Expected Back
NHL DFS Goalies
Connor Hellebuyck- DK $8.2K || FD $8K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
Even with the recent uptick in offense from the Coyotes, they still make it very hard to trust them to score goals. Hellebuyck was fried pretty quickly by the Flames on Saturday, but he managed to maintain composure and deliver a solid outing to win 4-2. That was his first win in four appearances and he looks to be after a second one tonight.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Jarry(DK $7.5K || FD $7.9K), Tokarski(DK $7.4K || FD $7K)
NHL DFS Centers
Pierre-Luc Dubois-DK $6.7K || FD $5.7K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
Dubois has had an up and down season thus far, but he seems to be picking up the pieces once more. WIth teammate Mark Scheifele back in the fold, some of the pressure is being taken off of Dubois. He also has one of the best wingers in the game right now playing alongside him.
Tage Thompson- DK $5.2K || FD $4.7K
Opponent - Seattle Kraken
Thompson has been lights out lately and his pricing is rather questionable because of it, however, none of us will complain with a center just above $5K and he has a 5-1-6 line in his last five appearances. Against a Seattle team that still cannot keep pucks out of their net, this is a prime opportunity.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Crosby(DK $7.6K || FD $7.3K), Miller(DK $7.K || FD $7.1K), Suzuki(DK $5.6K || FD $6.6K)
NHL DFS Wings
Wings
Evan Rodriguez- DK $4.2K || FD $4.6K
Opponent - Calgary Flames
Rodriguez instantly jumped from the bottom of the barrel pricing to $4.2 in a matter of a few days. The journeyman has found his way onto Sidney Crosby’s line due to Bryan Rust landing on the IR. In his first true test on PIT1, he posted 12 shots and one goal. Granted it was against the Canadiens who are going through insane amounts of turmoil right now, but it was still an idea of what he could do. For just over $4K, this is still not a bad shot at a high ceiling.
Tyler Toffoli- DK $4.7K || FD $5.3K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
After yet another game of pulling names from a hat to make lines, Toffoli has found himself with a few new linemates and he is connecting right away. In his first appearance, he had a 1-2-3 line with two shots and one blocked shot. Those are impressive numbers and Vancouver certainly has not made any drastic changes to their defense.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Connor(DK $7.6K || FD $8.9K), Tkachuk(DK $7K || FD $7K), Olofsson(DK $5.7K || FD $5.9K), Wheeler(DK $4.8K || FD $5K), Drouin(DK $3.9K || FD $4.3K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Defense
Vince Dunn- DK $4.2K || FD $3.9K
Opponent - Buffalo Sabres
Dunn is getting a solid chance to showcase what he provides as a defenseman and to prove that he has what it takes to be a top-pairing defenseman at that. With teammate Mark Giordano on COVID-19 Protocol, Vince Dunn will move up to the top power-play for the time being. If you want a solid pivot from him, his teammate Haydn Flurry is also a great option.
Quinn Hughes- DK $5.7K || FD $6.1K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
Hughes is by far one of the best options at defense on the slate tonight. The youngster continues to quarterback the top power-play for the Canucks and he has only scored below 5.0 DK points once in his last five appearances. He also only has a single point -- one assist -- in that period, but he is averaging over 2.0 shots per game too.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Chychrun(DK $7.6K || FD $5.2K), Letang(DK $7.2K || FD $6K), Pionk(DK $5.4K || FD $4.6K), Chiarot(DK $4.4K || FD $4K)
