BALLER MOVE: Bench Stash in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 35% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Despite an 0-for-12 start at the plate to the 2016 campaign, Pedro Alvarez has displayed plenty of power in the past, hitting 30, 36, 18, and 27 home runs respectively over his last four seasons. This is simply a case of taking time to get rolling in a new uniform. The Baltimore Orioles appear to be sticking with him at DH for the time being. They will continue batting him in between combinations of Matt Wieters and Jonathan Schoop, or J.J. Hardy and Schoop when Wieters is given the day off. Alvarez belongs on your bench, for now, but get ready to insert him into a utility role once he gets going. If anyone is due for a hit, it's him.
