7 years agoCarolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis said that the 2018 season will be his last year in the NFL. Davis has been one of the best linebackers in the NFL over the last several seasons alongside Luke Kuechly in Carolina, but the veteran will be 35 next year and is already resigned to the fact that he'll take on a lesser role in favor of younger defenders in 2018. Davis had over 100 combined tackles the previous five seasons, but he managed only 76 in 2016 to go along with 2.5 sacks.
