4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers safety Jaquiski Tartt (toe) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2020 year due to turf toe, adding to the injury woes that have severely hampered the team this season. Tartt, who has been often injured over the past four years, leaves a void in the secondary that will likely be filled by Marcell Harris. A prevalence of injuries to all aspects of the 49ers Defense has knocked the once-vaunted group far from its pedestal as a top season-long unit, and with a daunting matchup against the Saints on the horizon Sunday, they're a longshot to be rostered in the vast majority of formats. Having gone the last two weeks without a turnover (and having allowed a combined 71 points), fantasy managers can look elsewhere for a defense, especially with the knowledge that Tartt will not be available as an anchor on the back end.--Jesse Borek
