49ers Part Ways With JaMycal Hasty

2 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers waived running back JaMycal Hasty on Tuesday, according to a source. Hasty served as the team's primary third-down back in 2021 and finished with 16 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown while adding 23 receptions (29 targets) for 157 additional yards in 11 regular season games (zero starts). In his two seasons with the Niners, he tallied 55 carries for 216 yards (3.9 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, adding 30 catches for 190 yards on 37 targets in 19 games (zero starts). There's a chance Hasty returns to the Niners practice squad if he isn't claimed off waivers. San Francisco will move forward with Elijah Mitchell as their starter, with Jeff Wilson Jr., Trey Sermon and rookie Tyrion Davis-Price behind him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
