6 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers worked out free-agent running backs Charcandrick West, Matt Dayes, Shane Vereen, Andre Ellington and Jeremy McNichols this week and signed Dayes to their practice squad, according to a source. With Matt Breida (ankle) highly questionable to play on Monday night against Green Bay, the Niners are looking for some depth at the position. Expect Alfred Morris to be a high-volume RB2 if Breida can't play, with Raheem Mostert and Kyle Juszczyk filling in.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
