4 years agoA.J. Allmendinger will make his first Cup Series start since 2018 on Sunday when the series races at the Daytona road course. Allmendinger is a road course expert and finished fourth in the Xfinity Series race here last season. That past performance coupled with the place differential upside that Sunday's 34th place start will offer makes Allmendinger one of the most appealing options in the race. There's some reason to worry about this being the first Cup race for Kaulig Racing at a track that isn't a superspeedway, but Allmendinger's just so strong at this kind of track.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
