A.J. Green Sees Confounding Season Continue In Week 10
4 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was once among the cream of the crop when it came to fantasy production during the previous decade, but following his second catchless contest of 2020 on Sunday, he has dipped out of consideration in the majority of season-long formats. Despite the exciting high-octane passing game of rookie signal-caller Joe Burrow, Green saw five targets against the Steelers and was unable to haul in any of them for a reception. While never among the elite when it came to catch percentage, Green has caught just 45.6 percent of his targets this year, far and away the lowest mark of his career. Without question, rookie Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd have jumped him in the Cincinnati wideout pecking order, with Auden Tate, Mike Thomas and Alex Erickson also all vying for targets on a weekly basis. The Washington defense has been stout against opposing receivers this year, making Green a risky play in Week 11 on top of all the previous entanglements that have come with rostering the former All-Pro.
