4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher A.J. Puk (shoulder) said he is feeling 100 percent recovered from a shoulder injury sustained during in March during spring training. Puk said he has been throwing bullpen sessions for months and should be ready to go when the season begins. While this is good news for fantasy owners, expect the A's to be more careful with their prized pitching prospect despite the shortened season. Puk only threw 36 2/3 innings last season and missed 2018 due to Tommy John surgery, so his workload on a per-start basis could be limited. Puk averaged more than 11 K/9 at every stop in the minors and is one of the most highly regarded pitching prospects in baseball. He's worth taking a shot on at his 230th overall average draft position.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
