Aaron Ashby Exits Thursday's Start Early
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers pitcher Aaron Ashby was removed from Thursday's start against the New York Mets in the bottom of the fifth inning due to an apparent injury. He exited the game with a trainer after forcing a groundout to record the first out of the fifth inning. The 24-year-old allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five across a 4 1/3 innings before leaving. The severity of Ashby's injury is unknown at the time, and he's considered day-to-day. Milwaukee's starting rotation has been ravished by injuries as the team is already down Brandon Woodruff (hand) and Freddy Peralta (lat), both currently on the injured list.
