3 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Aaron Civale went eight innings allowing one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out six in Tuesday night's 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. The Indians tried to let Civale go the full nine, but he allowed the first two batters he faced in the ninth to reach, one of which was Jeimer Candelario who eventually came around to score against James Karinchak later that inning. Civale has been superb in 2021 and is now boasting a 3.04 ERA with 53 strikeouts across 68 innings pitched. He will look to continue his success in his next start against the Blue Jays on Sunday.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
