Aaron Hicks Ready For July Opening Day
5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (elbow) confirmed that he will be ready to play if the season starts in late July. Hicks has enjoyed a setback-free recovery from Tommy John surgery so far, and he’s been taking batting practice and throwing from 160 feet over the past few weeks. With the talks between MLB and the MLBPA headed towards a 60-game season and a late-July start, Hicks should be the everyday starting center fielder for the Yankees this year. Given his expected production, that role makes Hicks a bargain at his 491 ADP, which likely still has setback-related risk built in.
