Aaron Hicks Removed From Tuesday's Game
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (shin) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds after fouling a ball off his right shin. He could not put pressure on his leg and hobbled off the field. The 32-year-old went 0-for-1 before exiting. He was replaced in the game by Marwin Gonzalez. The severity of Hicks' injury is unknown and is considered day-to-day. He will undergo further evaluation after the game, and the team will provide an update after the game. Heading into Tuesday's game, Hicks had collected a hit in five of his last six games. Gonzalez would see an uptick in playing if Hick is forced to miss any time.
