Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon Not Expected To Play In Preseason Opener
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that he doesn't expect running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon to play in the team's first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, Aug. 12. And with Patrick Taylor dinged up in training camp, it will present a big opportunity for Iowa undrafted free-agent running back Tyler Goodson. A lot of teams will be resting their stars in the first preseason game, so fantasy managers shouldn't read anything into it. Dillon ate into more of Jones' workload toward the end of last season and should remain heavily involved on the ground again in 2022, but Jones could see more targets through the air with All-Pro receiver Davante Adams now in Las Vegas. Jones should remain a top-10 fantasy RB target in fantasy drafts, while Dillon should be considered a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 with upside.
