Aaron Jones Gets Green Light To Play Thursday
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (calf) has been cleared to play in Thursday's game versus San Francisco, confirming an earlier report that he was trending in that direction. With fellow running backs Jamaal Williams (COVID-19) and AJ Dillon (COVID-19) out of the equation, Jones was in line to see a vast increase in snaps, but the calf injury is reportedly still hampering him. Those fantasy managers who opt to roster him will be rolling the dice, but with Tyler Ervin and Dexter Williams serving as Jones' back-ups, there's reason to believe that the Packers could try to lean on Jones. On pace for an All-Pro year before his injury, Jones should be heavily leaned on moving forward so long as he proves no worse for wear coming out of Thursday's contest.
