6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones had 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown in a Week 11 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night. However, he added 63 yards and a touchdown on five receptions. Jones was the focal point of Green Bay’s offense in the first half of the game. He looked like a star in the process. Surprisingly, his biggest contributions came in the passing game, including catching the ball in the end zone for a 24-yard reception. Jones had struggled catching the ball and in pass protection in 2017 but seems significantly improved in both areas this year. Green Bay inexplicably went away from Jones in the second half and saw their offense sputter. Jones is likely to struggle to get the type of workload he deserves all season, but as he demonstrated this week he can have big games with only limited usage. Right now Jones looks like an RB1 for fantasy purposes, but the lack of consistent touches means that he always has the potential to put up a dud in any given week. The week-to-week upside is too high to leave him on the bench, so he should be considered a high-end RB2 moving forward.--Tyger McGuiggan
