Aaron Jones Runs For 100 Yards In Win
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones ran for 100 yards on 25 totes and caught two of six targets for 43 receiving yards in a 23-20 victory over the Detroit Lions. With Jamaal Williams (shoulder) out, Jones saw a season-high 25 carries and exhibited a patient, between-the-tackles approach. He did some real damage in the fourth quarter with under a minute left, as he caught a screen pass and ran it 31 yards to get Green Bay in field goal range. Jones finished with over 1000 rushing yards in a season for the first time in his career and tied for the league lead in total touchdowns, with 19. He and the Packers will get some well-deserved rest on their first-round bye in the playoffs.
