7 years agoNew York Yankees outfielders Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton will see time in left field this spring under the tutelage of new first base coach and outfield instructor Reggie Willits. Both Judge and Stanton have predominantly played right field in their major league careers, with Stanton playing all but one big league inning in right field. Brett Gardner is expected to start he majority of the games in left field, with Aaron Hicks projected as the starter in center. But using Judge or Stanton in left field would give manager Aaron Boone more flexibility with his lineup. While both Judge and Stanton are known for mashing long home runs, they are both above average defensively as well, although learning a new position comes with plenty of challenges. Fantasy owners aren't interested in their gloves, though, and both sluggers will be off the board in the first round of fantasy drafts for their elite power.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
