5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed one run in seven innings and was given plenty of offensive support to his 11th win of the season Wednesday night. Nola allowed only three hits and a walk and racked up seven strikeouts. Nola lowers his ERA to 3.56 backed up by a 3.87 xFIP and he's striking out over 10 batters per nine innings. After a shaky start to the season, Nola has rounded into form and is the ace pitcher fantasy owners were hoping for on draft day.
