Aaron Nola Hammered In Spring Start Versus Blue Jays
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings in a Spring Training start versus the Blue Jays on Tuesday. That was a rough outing for the Phillies ace, but there's not too much to worry about with Nola who has been a consensus top-25 pick in fantasy. The 27-year-old ranked fourth in baseball with a 2.79 xFIP last season and posted a career-high 33.2 percent strikeout rate. Even if his rate stats dip to his career averages, Nola was still elite in 2018 and 2019 pitching over 200 innings in each season with more than a strikeout-per-inning. Target Nola as an SP1 near pick 20 overall.
