Aaron Nola Pitches Well In Win Vs Nationals
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed two runs in seven innings with eight strikeouts in a win vs the Nationals Wednesday. Nola was coming off a bad start where he allowed four runs in 2 2/3 innings, but was able to regain his dominance he's displayed for most of 2020. Nola sports a 3.00 ERA with a shiny 2.54 xFIP and thanks to generating a ton of whiffs and grounders. His 34.8 percent strikeout rate ranks fifth in the Majors and he is 16th with a 50.6 percent ground-ball rate when batters do make contact. The 27-year-old righty has been brilliant this season and those numbers suggest he should be able to sustain ace-like production making him a must-start SP1 in fantasy.
