Aaron Nola Scratched From Start With Flu
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola was scratched from his Grapefruit League start Monday because of the flu, according to Matt Breen. This shouldn't affect Nola long term, and he is still on track to start on Opening Day for the third straight year. Nola is coming off a slightly disappointing season where his ERA rose to 3.87 after being 2.37 in 2018. He was still an asset in the strikeout department, however, as Nola put up 10.2 K/9 across over 200 innings. He is a prime bounce-back candidate this year and one of only a handful of pitchers that can provide 200 innings and 200 strikeouts. He is being drafted as a fantasy ace, with an average draft position of 45th overall.
