Aaron Nola Strong Over Six Innings
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola pitched six innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the Nationals Saturday. Nola did allow five hits and four walks, but limited the damage with the help of nine strikeouts. It appears Nola's early season struggles feel like a distant memory as he hasn't allowed more than one earned run since June 15. In his five starts since, he has a .76 ERA in 35 2/3 innings with a sparkling 43/12 strikeout to walk ratio. Nola is back to being a must-start fantasy ace, even with a tough matchup with the Dodgers in his next start on Thursday.
