5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings Tuesday night at Washington. It is the second straight start for Nola allowing at least five runs in less than six innings. Nola was solid through five, but everything came undone in the sixth when Nola loaded the bases before being pulled. Reliever Jared Hughes came into the game and promptly served up a grand slam adding three more earned runs to Nola's total. Despite the tough pitching line, Nola at least contributed with nine strikeouts and will be a must-start option Sunday when he has a great matchup against the Marlins.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
