Aaron Nola Tagged With Four Runs At Yankee Stadium
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola had another rough performance on Tuesday as he allowed four runs on seven hits across 5 1/3 innings at the Yankees. Nola walked one and had five strikeouts on the evening. He didn't pitch as bad as his numbers looked, he generated 12 swinging strikes and a healthy 26.8% CSW%. He was, however, the victim of Yankee Stadium's short porch in right field as Brett Gardner hit one of the weakest home runs this season. Statcast measured the "blast" at 361 feet and 92.3 MPH off the bat. He'll carry a bloated 4.64 ERA into Atlanta next time out on Sunday.
