Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones Won’t Play In Preseason Finale
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Aaron Jones will be held out of Thursday's preseason finale against the Chiefs as the team looks to keep them healthy ahead of the regular season. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur revealed Tuesday that all starters who had not previously played in preseason contests would be sticking to that plan. Jordan Love will likely continue to get an extended look as the Packers' signal caller, having delivered some up-and-down performances across the first two weeks. With AJ Dillon also not having suited up, the rushing game has been led by Tyler Goodson and Patrick Taylor. The next time that Rodgers, Jones and Co. are slated to see game action is Week 1 of the regular season vs. Minnesota on Sept. 11.
