Aaron Rodgers' Deal Now Official
3 years agoAfter a week of going back and forth with the Green Bay Packers, quarterback Aaron Rodgers' complicated new contract will pay him $50 million per year over three years for a total of $150 million. The deal includes the 2022 season, so in actuality, it's a two-year, $124 million contract extension. Rodgers will get $42 million this year, $59.515 million in 2023 and $49.3 million in 2024, which equals out to $150.815 million over the next three years. The first two years are fully guaranteed at signing. The 38-year-old back-to-back MVP will likely retire after the 2024 season when the contract is over. With Rodgers back, the Packers must now focus on getting a long-term deal done with wide receiver Davante Adams, who says he won't play on the franchise tag. Rodgers will be a no-brainer QB1 in 2022.
