Aaron Rodgers Happy With His Receivers
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems to be happy with his group of wide receivers in training camp after the team traded away All-Pro Davante Adams in the offseason. "I like the guys that we got," Rodgers said Saturday. "Obviously not having Davante, who took the lion's share of the targets last year and had an incredible season, there's gonna be the same amount of balls and yards and touchdowns to go around. So now it's a matter of who's going to be in those situations to make those plays." Allen Lazard, who finished with eight touchdowns in 2021, is expected to step into the No. 1 role this year. Rookies Christian Watson (knee), currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and Romeo Doubs should also have big roles right away.
