Aaron Rodgers Week 17 Ends Early
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (concussion) left a Week 17 matchup against the Detroit Lions early in the game to be evaluated for a concussion. He was diagnosed with a concussion and did not re-enter the game. Rodgers finished the game with three completions for 26 yards and no touchdowns. With Green Bay missing the playoffs, Rodgers’ season is now over. Rodgers was projected as the top fantasy quarterback in the preseason this year. Many predicted that he would rebound from a broken collarbone in 2017 and put up elite numbers. However, injuries, inconsistent play, and coaching issues resulted in production that did not meet expectations. Still, Rodgers will finish the season as a top-6 fantasy quarterback in most scoring formats. Whether or not he will return to his dominant form largely depends on who Green Bay hires as its next head coach. However, even in a worst-case scenario Rodgers will remain a very solid option in fantasy for 2019.
