6 years agoOn May 23 against the Los Angeles Angels, Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez was fantastic, as he did not allow any runs across five innings pitched. The only thing his outing on Monday against the Boston Red Sox had in common with his last start was the five innings pitched. This time around, Sanchez was destroyed to the tune of seven earned runs on nine hits and a walk. He struck out four while allowing two home runs. Sanchez simply cannot seem to string together consistently good outings this year, much to the frustration of his fantasy owners. His ERA now sits at a ballooned 4.77. Still, he makes for a decent play against a bad Detroit Tigers lineup on Saturday.--John Smith
