5 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (shoulder) will undergo surgery next week, which will end his season. Sanchez was brilliant in his first two starts for Houston but had allowed nine earned runs in his last 7 2/3 innings before being placed on the injured list. Framber Valdez has started twice in his absence and should continue to fill in for Sanchez down the stretch, but he is a risky option, at best, and doesn't deserve much fantasy consideration.--Joseph Magazzinich
