Aaron Sanchez Pitches Well In Jays Loss
7 years agoAfter a successful 2016 followed by an injury-plagued 2017, starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez is undoubtedly the most intriguing member of the Toronto Blue Jays rotation. His first start against the New York Yankees wasn’t so hot, but he rebounded nicely against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Sanchez picked up the quality start by pitching six innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven. It's exactly the kind of start fantasy owners were looking for. With a career 6.95 K/9, though, the seven strikeouts were likely an aberration, but at only 25 years old, if he’s putting things together a bit more, that figure could certainly improve. Sanchez has a more difficult matchup on Tuesday when the Jays take on the Orioles in Baltimore, but it will be an interesting test for fantasy purposes.
