7 years agoThere wasn’t much faith in Toronto Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez to have a good outing against the Boston Red Sox on Friday, but he came through with a solid yet unspectacular effort. Sanchez threw five innings, allowing two earned runs (three total) on five hits and three walks, striking out four in the no-decision. For the year, he now owns a 4.08 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 32 strikeouts against 25 walks across 46 1/3 innings pitched. Next up for Sanchez is Oakland Athletics in Toronto on Thursday; another difficult matchup on paper but one you’re going to roll with him in if you were bold enough to start him against the Red Sox.--John Smith
